I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The first thing that impressed me was the value for money - it was a great bargain! The prices were very reasonable for the location, especially considering how close it was to The Bund. Speaking of location, it was fantastic! I could easily walk to the metro and all the major sights in the area. The staff were also very friendly and professional, making me feel welcome throughout my stay.
All aspects of my stay were absolutely fine.

Excellent location, 1930s Shanghai Style.
Shower room was built-in afterwards, was similar to the bathrooms in the cruise ships cabin.

The hotel is conveniently located, with easy access to subways and close proximity to the bustling Bund area. Guests can easily explore Old Shanghai and visit the big bus station. The rooms are small but clean, and the bathrooms are decent. The staff provide efficient service and are helpful to foreign guests. The hotel also offers free internet access and a variety of dining options nearby.
Limited facilities available for business travelers.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. the value for money is unbeatable, offering affordable rates without compromising on quality. Secondly, the location is ideal, right in the Bund area, with easy access to all the major attractions. And thirdly, the staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms are well-designed with attention to detail, including comfortable beds and modern amenities like a big plasma TV. Plus, the breakfast options cater to all dietary preferences, including a tasty vegan selection.
No improvement needed - everything was satisfactory.

The location is good for the Shanghai marathon.
Filthy! Do not go there. The first room that they took me two had a substantial amount of wallpaper peeling off of the wall. The second room was tiny. I told them that this was below the level of my room because it didn't have a window. the pointed to a tiny square window in the corner of the room and said there is the window, you just can't open it. I tried to get an upgrade and that was also filthy. The carpets were stained and all of the carpets in the corridors also looked like they had never been cleaned or seen a hoover. They are cheating people on the rooms. I paid for the 4th best room over the internet. There were only supposed to be 2 levels of rooms better than mine, but i saw three. What they are doing is overcharging for room.

Location.
Not good at all. We booked for 3 nights but left after one day because we felt it was very dirty and uncomfortable. There was no windows in the rooms and they smell of smoke. We were fooled by the cheap price.

Great location right next to a famous landmark, with easy access to everything you need. The breakfast was inclusive and delicious, and the staff were helpful in assisting with travel needs. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained.
The wifi signal was a bit weak in some areas of the hotel, and the air conditioning was not very strong during our stay in the summer. some amenities in the bathroom were lacking and the cleaning could have been better.
